Transition morning

This morning Chestnut class came into Cherry to be with the year 1 children who will be in Cherry next year. We've used pastels to make self portraits and made our new name tags for our pegs.

Victorian Seaside day

Children in Cherry class had an amazing experience day at the Victorian seaside. We had 'donkey' rides, sand, sea, Punch and Judy and ice creams.

West Bromwich Albion football session

Yesterday Ashley, from West Bromwich Albion, came into school for a football training session. We learned how to control the ball in a variety of different ways. We can now control the ball using the sole of both our feet - even the weaker one!

Travelling back in time...

On Friday, Cherry class travelled back into the Victorian times on their visit to Holdenby House for a Victorian Servants Day. We were all shown around the house, worked hard and performed to the lady of the house.

The children know how to polish, scrub, wash, iron, make bread, chop, clean chambers, make beds, polish shoes, clean ovens, preserve vegetables and more. There are now no excuses for not doing chores at home!

At the end of the day two children were given their deeds of employment because they were so brilliant!

Have a look at our pictures below:
