Last week we made junk models of houses. Today, after reminding ourselves about fire safety, we recreated The Great Fire of London - on a smaller scale! One house was set alight and we watched how the fire spread and our houses burn to a crisp.
Afterwards we read a bit from the diary of Samuel Pepys and acted out what happened in his account.
When the children arrived this morning the classroom was in darkness and nothing electrical was being used. Cherry Class have spent the day learning all about electricity. We have been sorting, spotting dangers and exploring circuits - we were able to make the bulb light up! We had great fun!
