Cherry class have had an amazing animal experience day dressed up as animals.
We read the book Giraffes can't Dance, had a jungle dance and acted it out so that we really understood the story and can write about it in our next English lessons. We also learnt about alliteration, put music to The Jungle Rhythm and danced like they do on The Jungle Book and read Rumble in the Jungle and creating artwork for the animals in the story.
What a day! Take a look at the pictures below:

Last week, the children in Cherry Class created a large learning line on our hall floor to remind us about the journey we go on when we are learning. The children positioned themselves where they thought they would be on the learning line for tying their shoe laces. Those children who thought they were experts then helped me to teach the children who were completely new to it. At the end of the lesson, lots of children had been supported by their friends to move along the learning line.

Cherry class were very excited today because it was snowing. We all worked really hard so that we could finish our work and go to play in the snow. Some of us made little snowmen and some of us had a snowball fight. Poor Mrs Sensecall ended up with snowballs in her hood!

Happy New Year everyone!
It was lovely to welcome everybody back after their Christmas break yesterday. Though we arrived to a mysterious set of lily pads all around the school. In one of our curriculum enrichment days we discovered, with the help of a book, that frogs had magically flown through towns on lily pads. What a surprise!
In Cherry class we co-operated writing a whole class story, learnt about pointillism and decorated frogs and created our own lily pads. Here are some pictures to have a look at. Keep an eye out for the new displays going up in the hall to show our work.
